A.T.O.M.® – A Tale Of Madness / Built with Unreal Engine.

The story behind A.T.O.M took life while I was learning the basics of Unreal Engine. Initially set-up as a maze in which the player would have to reach the end by avoiding a few obstacles and opening doors – this project was transformed to my first ever indie game.

A.T.O.M.® – A Tale Of Madness is the first installment in the A.T.O.M. series.

ARIA Corporation – an evil entity that uses its employees for experiments and consequently leading them to their demise – welcomes you to your last test. Throughout the game you will find references to the Corporation’s actions and events – all endangering its employees. Exploring these hallways – the player will be greeted with weird noises, shadows moving in corners, a weird voice over the announcement-speakers that relays strange messages in a half-distorted voice.

In terms of level design – the game will present a dark atmosphere / high-quality assets / contrasts between lighter and darker areas / shadow effects. The space is constructed as a maze which the player needs to traverse. Certain points will trigger a new pathway to be opened.
